Suggestion for lieder book

I saw this yesterday in the TIS catalog, and I would recommend it for those of you who haven't purchased a lieder anthology. Called simply "The Lieder Anthology", it has 65 songs by diffent composers and includes word for word translations and bio info on the composers. It comes in high and low versions. Looks like another good product from Hal Leonard, who makes the great French anthologies a few of you have. Click the link here to go to TIS for this book.

If you are so inclined, you may come by and fill out a new studio information form and schedule card for spring. When completed, place the form in the folder marked "Completed Schedule Cards and Forms". I'll take the cards and do a probable schedule for next semester this week. This schedule will be subject to change at the start of next semester, of course.

Did you see this in the UE Announcements?

UE salutes...Douglas Reed, professor of Music/University Organist, who has had an article published in the December issue of The American Organist magazine. William Albright (1944-1998): A Birthday Tribute celebrates the life of the noted Indiana-born composer, three of whose compositions received their world premiere performances at the University of Evansville.

A review of Dr. Reed’s 2 CD recording In Memoriam William Albright (available in the UE Bookstore) appears in the same issue. Recorded on the C.B. Fisk organ in the Minato Mirai Concert Hall, Yokohama, Japan, the recording features a performance of Symphony for Organ, commissioned by the University of Evansville with the support of the Friends of UE Music, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Also included in the December TAO is a report on the UE American Guild of Organists chapter’s recent two-week organ study trip to France and Switzerland.
