Song Forms

The quality of your latest song information forms is very high - great job. All of you are really getting more skilled at recognizing the musical significance of your pieces and coming up with great character work for them as well. I have written comments on the sheets for you to look at, so you can come by this week and get them at your leisure.

Thanks,

Dr. T

Studio Class and More

Thanks to the performers for today's studio class, Katie and Richard both did excellent work and will represent us well on today's masterclass. Molly, Elizabeth, and Jacob will be singing for next week's class. I currently have no one signed up for the following week.

I also want to let you all know how proud I was of all of you at the opera auditions. You should all feel that you represented yourselves well and gave compelling auditions. As I sat in on the discussions for casting, you can all know that you received serious consideration and discussion for a part in the opera. You all were well prepared, sang your music well, and read your dialogue well. This is all that you can do for an audition - the rest is out of your hands, as Ms. Dodd said at last week's Voice Hour.
